Along with the sorrow of losing someone we love, survivors may face shock, unanswered questions,
traumatic memories, isolation, and a loneliness that can be difficult for others to understand.

This year’s conference will examine the unique challenges of grief following sudden and traumatic loss and explore how we can better understand, accompany, and support those who are hurting.

A DAY OF LEARNING, CONNECTION, AND COMPASSION
Sudden and traumatic loss can leave people feeling profoundly alone. Those who are grieving may struggle not only with the absence of someone they love, but also with the circumstances surrounding the death and the ways those circumstances can affect their grief.
This conference will provide an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, gain greater understanding of traumatic grief, and consider how we can become better companions to those walking through the sorrow and loneliness of loss.
Whether you are a chaplain, counselor, pastor, first responder, caregiver, volunteer, grief professional, or simply someone who wants to better understand how to walk alongside a grieving person, you are invited to join us.
